Car running too cool

Hi. My car is running way too cool on the highway, sometimes not even getting to 120*. I have a regular, not LT1, style thermostat that is rated 160*. Could this be the problem?? My car is not engine modded by any means so is running the 160* thermo. even worth it??? Thanks.

Re: Car running too cool

If you have a LT1 you need a LT1 style thermostat. A SBC style thermostat will not work.

Alright, so I need an LT1 style thermostat. And since my car's engine is stock, is it worth having a 160* thermo in it??

naw, just get a original replacement 180* in it. They are cheap enough to the point that if u need/ want a 160* one down the road, it wont put a dent in ur wallet.
