Hi my name is Mike, I just recently got a 1994 Camaro v6. It has always had a little hesitation to it since I got it. But I was backing up the other day and it started shaking really bad and shut off but it started right back up and I was able to drive it home. Needless to say The next morning I went out and all it did was crank. So I put on a new fuel pump and fuel pump relay, I have checked all the grounds ect. its getting fuel if I prime the line with the valve. The only way it will start is with starting fluid and then shuts off again. Does anyone know what else I can try?

Might change the gas filter for starts.My02.

 

This sounds like a coil pack problem. Weak spark and when the engine shakes its only firing certain cylinders. The best thing would be to just check your spark on all your plug wires if you find a weak or no spark then change that coil pack out. Also coil packs can interchange with various mid 90 gm vehicles. S10, blazer...etc also try to scan for codes first if its showing any.

That would be a cheap trouble shoot to start off with. I also have a 95 3.4 id be willing to part out if any parts are needed.
