Can't use power unlock!

On my 93 Formula I can use the power lock switches on either side to lock the doors but I can't unlock them from either switch. Anyone have any ideas? Also does the same with the keyless entry. I can lock myself out but can't get in

i have somewhat of the same problem
i can unlock and lock my driver side fine, it's just that the passenger side will not unlock
locks fine but will not unlock
i'm going to replace the acuator in a few days (once it gets off the jackstands after my exhaust is removed and replaced)
i'll let you know how it goes
it seems weird though that both sides will not unlock for you

Look at your pass. side lock switch. You will see two black ground wires, one for each door. I had the same problem as you, wiggle the ground wires and see if that fixes the problem. The lock connector is a pin/socket type connector. The pins are on the back of the lock switch and the sockets are soldiered to the wires. My ground socket became enlarged after ( I guess ) taking it on and off two may times over the past five years. I squeezed them closer together and cleaned the contacts. Now it works just fine.

I finally got around to looking into the problem. Turns out it's a bad switch. The passenger window switch is the same as the lock switches so I used it as a tester. Really odd that a faulty switch would affect both sides. Now I can use the power locks and the remote just fine...just gotta find a switch for the passenger window now

That's because both ground wires go through that switch.
