Cant turn off my brights

ok, so we all know the camaros had crappy turn signal stalks and mine is showing its true colors now. I let a female friend drive the car, and she turned the brights on, and now they wont turn off. when you pull back the stalk it feels like its not catching the switch. If i remove the battery for a few hours will that reset it back to the regular lights?

Disconnecting the battery is not going to do anything. You need to uncover the lower part of the steering column to see if moving the stalk is actually doing anything at the switch (the switch is under the dash on the steering column and actuated by a rod from the stalk).

there is a rod that connects to the turnsignal switch/brites switch also known as the multi funcrion switch

the rod pushes a switch when pulled back that controlls brites and dims, it is inside the steering collum, you will have to remove this and see if the rod fell out or needs ajustment, and if that seems fine its usually the switch, note it isnt the headlight switch when buying the part its the "dimmer switch"

Letting the female friend drive the WS6 is your problem. Think of it as "Preventative Maintanance"

turns out the rod just was loose or something, because when i took it all apart and started pushing/pulling on things it suddenly works again.
