cant get caliper to go back on rotor, need help asap
ok so my 30 min job turned into a 5 hr job, and i missed work aaaaaah
, anyways i bought a cclamp to push in the piston, BUT when i try to slide the caliper on the rotor, the outer brake pad and the mounting bracket of the caliper are too close(the inner brake pad has plenty of room, just the mounting bracket is in the way), theres not enough room for it to go on.. i need help with this asap, all tha ti wanted to do was changed out some wheel studs, but got stupid and took the caliper off of the radiator,

did you try taking off the wheel on the other side and just looking at it to compare. Sorry I'm just having a hard time visualizing what you are talking about.

it looks like the piston in the caliper isn't compressing all the way. Take the cap off of the master cylinder, and try to compress it some more, it should slide right on, unless the caliper has some sort of internal problem.

only the rears
but, my votech teacher told use that most cars with rear disc brakes, you need to twist the piston back into the caliper or something along the lines of that, I'm not sure if this applies to our Camaros, but give it a check.
Or push harder you bitch.

Re: cant get caliper to go back on rotor, need help asap
it did push right in(when the parking brake was on, not sure if that was bad or not), what im having a problem with is that the mounting bracket, and the outer pad are too close together, the inner pad is waaaaaayfar from the outer pad, plenty of room

Have you looked at the exploded view of the rear caliper available on Shoebox's Tech Pages:
