Can I tell from the VIN if an SS has upgraded suspension?

It is a convertible so I dont think any came with level 2, but level 1 perhaps. I wouldn't think the vin could tell you. So how can I tell? I cant crawl under it ...it is 636 miles away.

With the VIN #, You should be able to call SLP and, I would assume they'd know the info your seeking from the VIN #....

I dont know the # but the web site is www.slponline.com

You can not tell by the VIN. You have to have the RPO and SLP sticker codes. However, unless it was a special order, the converts. did not get any suspension upgrades. They are "stock" Z28, with the 16" tires and Delco shocks.

Your sig. says you have a 95. If you already know the answers why are you asking?

Im sorry, the SS is a 2000 that I am looking at. That is why I said it is 600 miles away.

My current car is in my sig.

There are no 1995 SS's (I know this)

I could have been more specific, I guess.

Ok! All SS's got the WU8, RPO code. You may also find a Y2Y code. The Y2Y code means it has SLP content other than the standard or minimum. There is some confusion about what year the Y2Y code started. To make things more confusing there are some unique cars that don't have the expected codes but they are rare and most owners will tell you up front.
