Can I reverse this? Bearing question! HELP!
I just realized that we pressed the bearing into the actual axel and onto the axel shaft (moser 12 bolt) So what are my options? Hammer in the axel shaft in the housing? I dont think we can get the bearing back out!! Help!! Any ideas!!!
Re: Can I reverse this? Bearing question! HELP!
Hmm alright... heres the problem
We pressed a bearing into the actual axel housing (the piece that is welded to the "pumpkin" We are suppose to press it onto the axel shaft. So we have to now hammer the axel into the bearing and into the pumpling. There are no c clips, its suppose to slide in, but we kinda switched some steps around and put the bearing on at the wrong time. So is there anyway to get the bearing out? Sorry if it sounds confusing, I am just trying to say it how we did it.

i would get an extremely long pipe and stick in from one side and hammer out the opposite bear. This may destroy them but it'll get them out. If not you could go try to get a slide hammer from somewhere and see if you can rig something up with that.
