Camaro Build Sheet Question

Guys like the first gen Camaros, is there a place within my 2002 Camaro that I can locate a body broad cast sheet. I have in duplicate one from my Norwood built '69 that I found between my door panels. Just curious about the last gen Camaros. These are priceless in the first gen cars, I was hoping to find one on my 2002.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Camaro Build Sheet Question

The RPO sticker on the car basically takes the place of the build sheet. It shows all the options the car was built with. On a 2002, look for it on the driver's door.

Re: Camaro Build Sheet Question

Thanks I know my RPO codes and are very familiar with them. I wasn't sure if GM placed any paper documents in the car as it was being built, like they did in the older gen cars. All my Camaro's are documented with paper or POPS. I did not pay much attention to my gen 4 Camaro until of late.

I found my build sheet, with sign-offs as it moved down the line, in my glove box along iwith the shipping bill, but I had special ordered the car. If it was bought off of the lot, it was likely tossed when they prepped the car. Good luck finding it. It's very cool thing to have.

My car is exactly the same way. The only thing I can think of is it looks cleaner without it.

I just remembered it was originally a Texas car. That might have something to do with it.

Re: Camaro Build Sheet Question

Rear defrost was a $170 option on my car - maybe has it because I bought it new from Rick Hendrick Chev in NC in a colder climate??? Wish I didn't have it now, don't want to chance putting tint over it and having it look bad after the Florida sun beats on it.

Re: Camaro Build Sheet Question

My '94 Z came with the original Manifest Sheet in pristine condition. Couldn't believe how crisp the paper still was. Some people are just like "so what?", but I thought it was pretty neat to have it. My brother's '91 RS had it's build sheet in the spare tire well, and I've heard of them being under the rear seats, too. Good luck, I hope you find yours. If you can't find it, a Chevy dealership can reprint them, I think.

Re: Camaro Build Sheet Question

Now I want to look for mine as well, Ive had several from other old mopars I owned in the past and they are pretty cool. Seeing as how I work at a phord dealer Ive scooped a few from cars Ive PDI'ed such as a new bullit mustang a few years back, it was rolled up and stuffed inside the rear bumper rebar exposed to the rain and crap the rear tires could through at it, wouldnt last a week there but I saved it. Ill yank my rear seats tomorrow. Under the carpet is another good hiding spot.

Mine has no defrost but even in the humid South (TN) I had no problems and the flow through ventilation on these cars works good for me as I would make sure my defrost fan was on keeping the air moving.
