I'm beginning to swap out the airbags after an accident in my 95 Camaro.

I noticed a module in front of the radiator right near the hood latch and windsheild fluid reservoir... is this the sensor? Mine doesn't match up with the one I bought?

If this isn't the sensor... where is the module/sensor located?

Also, before changing the sensor, if I put in let's say the drivers side airbag... will it automatically blow if the sensor isn't swapped first?

The forward discriminating sensor is located by the hood latch. There is another one in the interior. Make sure the fuse is out of the system while you are working on it. Do all your sensor work before hooking up the air bags. Put the fuse in last.

 

I know there is one under the center console also.

 

and don't be in the car when you put the fuse back in

airbags = pipe bomb
