camaro+big puddle?
camaro+big puddle?
last night i was on my way home from what was o beautiful ohio day and it started pouring rain and i accidently ran into a deep puddle that was covering the road after going through it my S.E.S light came on and my oil pressure gauge started reading a little higher at about three quarter mark to the top and did not move. Any idea on what happend to it the engine didn't stall ar studder whenever i went thorugh it so i don't know whats going on...thanks for the help
LT1 or LS1? LT1 optisparks can get messed up from a big puddle, but the car usually will stall or sputter if that happens. On LS1's it could be the alternator, but not sure if it would set a light. Get the light checked at autozone.
I got stuck in a puddle from the exact same weather as you man......terrible rain. My car actually stalled and started up an hour later with no probs as far as I can tell. You should get the ses check out and then tell us what code you got and we can try and help.
Yup I've known LT1s to run through puddles and not run for half a day because the opti got soaked. Fell lucky because on 93-94s because of the non vented opti they are trashed. On 95-up F-bods they have the vented opti's and will usually recover from something like that in time. I've known people that have gone out with a hair dryer and dried there opti after it getting wet and causing probs. and it's been fine afterwards.
