Cam Z28 headlight issue
Cam Z28 headlight issue
I own a 2000 Camaro Z28 with headlights that come on once a sensor thinks that there is not enough sunlight. I find this really annoying and want to manually choose when to have my parking lights or headlights on. I've been told there is probably just one wire I have to cut to achieve this. Does anyone know which wire it is and where I can find it? Thanks

Re: Cam Z28 headlight issue
EASY!!!
(probably the first "mod" I did to my car within about ~2 weeks of owning it
)
The light sensor is in the center of the dash beside the red LED for the alarm system. Pop up that large center dash piece, locate the light sensor, and either unplug the sensor and use a paper clip to connect the two leads together so that you complete the circuit, or cut the wires to the sensor and splice them together. Either way will work, and it "tricks" the car into thinking that it's always light outside, so the headlights DON'T come on automatically
. I got pi$$ed off having a switch that said "OFF" that didn't actually turn the lights off?!
