A/C Blower Motor... Need help quick.

Couple of quick questions. 97 Z28. My A/C is leaking from near the firewall and the blower motor is making a loud buzzing noise that starts getting really loud on the highest two levels. Oh, and A/C doesn't blow as hard as it used to on high.

1. What should I check
2. How do I check to see if there is debris in the blower motor box?
3. I found the blower motor under the passenger side dash, but how do I check it to see if it is bad?

Thanks alot for your help.

Don't know what's going on with the AC leaking, but had leaves in my blower motor box making noise before. I unplugged the connector to the motor, removed the three screws and it pulled right out. LS1's might be a little different...hope this helps.

Thanks. I just got back in from getting rained on halfway through working on it. So much for "covered" parking! Did have leaves in the blower box. Also had a piece of foam looking insulation. Should I be worried about that?

I also confirmed that the leak is coming from the firewall, but i can't see a hose or anything leaking in the engine compartment. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry about the foam insulation - too hard to try and figure out where it came from. The AC is supposed to "leak" condensate water to the outside (does it through a small hose on the firewall on mine) hard to see unless you get under the car. Must be nice weather in Houston, haven't had my AC on in a while.

If you call showers all day nice weather. But yeah, it's still around the 70s as a high, and not having my ac can get annoying sometimes. I think I'm just going to let it ride for a while and see if the A/C loses charge again. Thanks for the help.
