Broken line trying to fix HVAC issue

2001 Camaro Z28. I am having the issue of no heat from the vents. Heat always comes through the floor and windshield. I researched on the forum and decided to look at the vacuum check valve. While trying to take the lines off the valve, one of them broke. What did I do? (I think this goes to the vacuum canister, but am not 100% sure) I didn't notice any difference now with this line broken with the car running. If I need to replace this line, how difficult of a thing is this to do. Link is to picture of what I did.

Thank you for your help.
Chris

Re: Broken line trying to fix HVAC issue

You can just go buy a little piece of vacum line big enough for that one to slide inside and just hook them back together with no problem, not a big deal or hard to fix at all. If you really want to get cheap with it then grab some electrical tape and tape it back together.
