Broke e-brake question

The piece of stamped steel that splits from the single line to the two separate lines on my e-brake cable has broken. Can you buy this part by itself or do you have to buy it as an assembly with the single cable to the handle.

Re: Broke e-brake question

My e-brake cable broke this past weekend too. Stupid parts! The steel piece did look like a seperate piece when I was under there. Not sure if you can buy it seperate, but I would think so.

No you can't purchase that stamped steel piece seperate...you need to purchase a new front cable...GM part number 10258235...it's about 65 bucks Canadian...

Re: Broke e-brake question

Rats. Called the dealer at lunch and they want $36 for the cable. Went to NAPA and they had a much thicker steel piece they sold for $4 so I'm gonna try that first and if it dont work I'm only out $4.
