brake squeeks
Re: brake squeeks
If you have already driven the car then I wouldn't clean them, I would just put that silencer goo on the pads, you might have to get one packet for each pad, they sell the packets right by the cash register at autozone.. I run 17.99 lifetime warranty, bought a set of pads in 99 when I bought my tahoe, they wear out I exchange them for new ones and buy two packets of silencer goo, spread that stuff all over the pad install, set ebrake. release e brake and drive some where.. by the time you get there you should be fine.. If you race you should be really running ceramics..in my opinion..but I just run dust shields on the tahoe and dont' care about dust.. 2 months since wash and no brake dust..
Re: brake squeeks
Yeah, i got the ceramix, im pretty sure that the rotors are not the problem, i would imagine that I just need some of that brake quiet and that should do the trick. If not, i will take it all off and clean the rotors off.
I think i am gonna have to upgrade the brake system eventually anyway, when I am staging I have to go in the water to get white smoke, ever since i bought the hot cam kit, my brakes cant hold me still during staging without going in the water. It really sucks because personally, i dont think that i am putting out enough power to justify buying slotted rotors or 4 or 6 piston calipers.
