I have an 02' S-10 and now I got hit in the front, and I am thinking about fixing it myself. The inner fender structure is not bent very bad, but it is tweaked a little bit. How hard is this to straighten out? What is the best way to straighten this out? If I need to replace the front clip how do I do so?

Any info is appreciated thanks

 

Did you get hit in the front or the side? Grille's are easy to get out,front bumpers arent bad,not sure about fenders and such but im sure its not too bad.

Not sure about straightening the inner fender well,i've never had to do that before.

If your sure you havent bent the fram. Then its just a matter of buying the parts and bolting them up.If you can find them already painted do that. If you can dont buy the crap fenders and front bumper cover off of ebay. They dont "hold" paint very well and they are low quality. Just letting you know from my mistakes.

 

Here are my suggestions:

1) remove the hood, nose and fenders. (2 hour job, max) Use zipock bags to store the fasteners and label them clearly.

2) take the car to a collision repair shop and have them put it on their frame machine. They should charge between $300 and $500 to pull that inner fender strait and verify the rest of the frame is good. Supervise them closely and ask alot of questions.

3) buy quality replacement panels and test fit everything very thoroughly.

4) after everything is test fitted, remove the panels and have them professionally painted off the car. Make sure they get a good match on the color. Give them one of your damaged panels to use as a color pattern. this will avoid paint seams, overspray and general abuse from a body shop.

5) install the painted panels and admire your good work.
