I wasn't sure if I put this in the right section, so I'm re-posting it here.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out what engine is in my car, and I'm trying to find the casting numbers for the engine. I found 3 numbers and I was hoping you could tell me what they are. I found:

010
020
158

Just like that, one blow the last one. What would those numbers mean? If those aren't the #'s to identify the engine then what are they and where can I find the identification #'s? Also, where would I find the casting #'s to figure out what heads I have on my car? The engine is a 350 and that's all I know.

Block casting numbers are on the ledge to the rear of the number seven cylinder on the drivers side. Very back of the motor. The heads can be in several different places, on the ends or under the valve covers. generally if you can identify the last 3 digits it can be identified pretty easily. The numbers are sometimes very hard to read.

 

That's about where the numbers I listed were. Are those them possibly?
