Blinker problem

ok I have a problem. My rear left turn signal stopped working. So I took the back light out and saw that the blinker was burnt out. NO big deal. I figured i'd have it fixed in no time. So I go to autozone and they said they don't have my bulb, but then they were like well the 1057 or 2057 should work. So I try the 1057 well the bulb turns on, but doesn't blink. So I try the 2057 same thing the bulb turns on but doesn't blink. I said screw it drove home and decided to check out the right rear blinker. I had a 2357 in it, which I thought was weird b/c I was pretty sure the car took a 2057. Anyway I put it back and and tried the right blinker again to make sure it works and sure enough the damn think doesn't blink anymore it just turns on just like the left side. So I go to walmart pick up the 2357's and tried it in the left and still the same problem.

The lights turn on they just don't blink. Any suggestions on what this is and how to fix it??

Re: Blinker problem

im in the same boat too, i forget which ones are the dual post bulbs, but i had to tape off one of the posts for it to "blink", theres prolly a short somewhere in the wiring and its getting grounded where it should. Im thinking about switching to the 98+ syle connectors, but im not sure if that will do the trick. good luck!
