Hey guys,

I'm trying to buy some seats in Dallas (Euless) and I'm in Tampa. The seller won't ship, so a friend of a friend who lives in Dallas may be able to p/u and ship them to me.

But how do you guys ship a full set of seats?....they're split rear seatback, btw.

Do you have to undo the hinge on the front seats usually? Do you box them and use UPS or do you put them on a skid and use a trucking co??

I'd appreciate any help. I need to know by today or tomorrow what to have this guy do and I know some of you have shipped seats.

a big *** box. You can do 2 or 3 boxes. Back seats in one, and either both front seats in one, or packaged seperately. Fedex is cheaper then UPS.

 

Thanks! Does it help to take the fronts apart? Anybody have an idea of what this will cost...Dallas to Tampa...1000 mi maybe?

basically, he drops if off at a depot near him and when your depot gets the package, they call you and you pick it up
waaaaaay cheaper than any of the other delivery services

I shipped all of my stock seats from ks to nj for 80ish. I just took the backs off of the front seats and then got them and the lower rear seats in 2 boxes. Then the rear seat back went in 1 box. I shipped them UPS.

 

Yeah, actually greyhounds prices are higher than UPS's. I heard he could just drop them off at office depot and they'll box them...we'll see.
