Re: best performance headers

If you have the money, Kooks. They tuck up the best, for longtubes, and have the best performance gains, they are also stainless.

Re: best performance headers

They will yield pretty much the same gains in terms of long tubes. You will probably start to see some variation in terms of the different classes ie: from shorties, to mid-lengths, to long-tubes.

Re: best performance headers

You will loose ground clearance if you go with any long tube header. But if all youre looking for is performance, kooks 1 7/8 will be the best.

Re: best performance headers

Kooks are by light years better than anything else... If you can afford the extra coin, you will be much happier in everyway with Kooks.

Re: best performance headers

Pacesetters are great for the price. But the coating will flake off eventually, and then you will need to get the recoated. The Stainless Kooks will not deteriorate, well maybe in like 70 years or so. They will last easily the life of your car.

It really comes down to how long you want them to last. Pacesetters typically start to have coating problems within a few years, although it varies.. Your climate can act as a catalyst for them breaking down. Kooks on the ohter hand, will outlive you probably..

Re: best performance headers

i plan on keeping the car forever. unless...knock on wood...it gets wrecked. i live in jersey, its wet, hot, humid, and they salt the hell out of the roads in the winter. though, i dont drive in the winter. but still...i want my parts to last the life of the car. at least the life of the engine.

p.s. sorry for the double post...i thoguht i was replying...but in fact, i clicked on new post.
