Benifit from ground effects ?

I have heard that ground effects can create lift at high speeds. At what speeds will these effects take place ? I'm planing for speeds up to 185 mph (thanks to the autobahn ). I was under the impression that the gfx would create more downforce that would be useful. Does anyone have any info on this ?

I don't think GFX will help you at all. How do you plan on hitting 185mph? Your gonna need alot more mods then you have.

I'm not sure anyone knows the aerodynamic effects of them. i think they were mainly built for looks.

they are supposed to pull the car to the ground thus giving the car a better "hug" to the road surface right? but the speed needed and the quality of most of these kits they would probably fly off the car before they worked?

Reading about how most gfx kits are mounted to the car that could be very true. I guess the only kit that would hold up would be th gm factory kit due to the different mounting style.

lol...and then after one piece flies off it throws everything off balance and the car goes for a few flips...wait...that's not funny

The 3rd gen gfx do a pretty good job of helping the car hug the ground. I don't know about 4th gen. I've had my car to 160 mph.

Re: Benifit from ground effects ?

I hit 160 - 165 (sorry, ~162) with my car after I first got it (just to see what it would do, you know?) and it honestly felt super stable. Since then, I've hit ~130 - 140 a couple times, and ~120 numerous times! Hell, 100 mph is a nice cruising speed! The car feels solid as a rock. Oh, and I've got GFX, if that makes a difference?
