Beefing up an IROC, advice welcome!

I've been checking this site out and it is VERY informative! I'm currently beefing up an '89 IROC. It has a 305, with the T5 tranny.
I'm having a 383 stroker built and it will be done next week or so. It has flat top high compression pistons, H-beam rods, is rollerized, and will use the Comp Cams Extreme Fuel Injection cam, 10.5:1 compression.
I have ordered the Holley Stealth Ram (with ECM). I've already received my 58mm throttle body, 42lb Ford Racing Injectors, a high-flow fuel pump, Hooker tuned headers, Center Force dual friction clutch, and Billet ignition system.
I've picked most of these items up on the advice of a guy who's helping me put the car together, or by researching online.
Do any of you have some advice for me? Is there anything I'm missing to do this right? It's my first real build up, and I want it to be right!
I'm at a loss as to what kind of exhaust system to use. I want it to be fast, but I don't want it to be super loud.
Thanks for reading a long post! Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you fit some sub-frame connectors,to stop the chassis flexing, uprating the brakes wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Good luck with the build,regards,Mark.

I would get another transmission b/c that t-5 will NEVER hold up behind your 383. Thats why they didnt make any L98 (350 TPI) w/ a t-5 b/c the torque would kill it.

Well,I guess it "technically" will hold up,until you start beating on it.

Your either going to have to buy an aftermarket trans, swap in a 6 speed out of a 4th gen into it,or put in an hopped up awfulmatic.

Thanks

Mark, forgot to mention I have the subframe connectors already. Haven't decided on the brake set-up yet. I will probably do those and the coil-over front end set-up at the same time. Next year.

RiceKiller, I plan on having to do the tranny. I've heard there are some headaches to go with swapping in a 4th gen 6speed. Somebody told me you can get a pretty good deal on a sturdy 6speed that is BUILT for the 3rd gen. Know anything about it?

What about exhaust? Do you guys have ideas for a power producing, fast set up that won't offend the neighbors? Or make a long drive miserable?

Thanks again!

Tremec TKO 600 would be my trans choice in a 3rd gen with power, and then a 12 bolt, S60, or 9" rear. You'd be able to put pretty much whatever you wanted in front of it then without worrying.
