Glad to see you found your problem! I was doing a search for hatch release and came upon your thread. I was having the exact same problem with my 87 IROC. Hatch release has never worked in he 10 years that I have owned the car, but this spring my battery started dying. I took it to an electrical shop and they said it was my hatch motor, so they took the fuse out. I have since gone and bought a replacement motor and installed it, put the fuse back in, and my motor still does not work! AARGH! Anyone have any ideas? I bought my replacement motor from A1 Auto Parts off of Ebay for 4 bucks.
