Battery keeps losing charge

Just got my car back today, when it was sitting for the years until now the battery died.

replaced the battery with a new optima red top

mechanic replaced starter starter and alternator

battery still dies. Got jumped at the mechanics and drove it about 30 mins to get home, turned it off, went to start it about 30-45 mins after and the voltage is just going above the 8 mark.

Could it be the stupid stock radio?

Re: Battery keeps losing charge

exhaust cutout? no

The fan for the vents tho is used on the engine or something liek that, the vents are blocked off and it just blows on the back of the block, i'll go play with the settings for that just in case, but I dont think that would be changed around electrically.

i have the monsoon and the time goes off too. so the radio downs power down if you remove the key and open the door?
i dont recall what is all on the radio fuse, but might be able to pull that fuse and see if the problem continues.

Jumped it after my last post and took it around town, gonna see if the problem is still there.

Where would I find the fuse or my fuse box?

Thanks for helping!

Re: Battery keeps losing charge

if you didnt find it, the fuse box for the radio should be on the left side of the dash if im correct. need owners manual or someone else to chime in to tell which fuse specifically. sounds like you have a dead short somewhere. good luck

Re: Battery keeps losing charge

I think I've seen the fuse box, got some pics of open connections, maybe someone can tell me if one is the hatch or if something is wrong?

AC is gone so i figure some of the stuff went to that. Any other common places for a dead short? I'm basically looking all around for an open wire, should I be looking for more?

Re: Battery keeps losing charge

Wondering if the hatch release button not working and the battery losing charge are related. Electrical is a pain!
