ASR light stays on
ASR light stays on
I own a '96 camaro z28 and at first my ASR and ABS lights would sometimes be on and sometimes wouldnt but now they come on everytime I start my card and do not turn off. I am wondering if anyone knows what I have to do to fix this problem?

Re: ASR light stays on
Could be a bad connection at the throttle body. There's a set of wires that connects to/on/near the TB... At one time both my "ASR Off" and "ABS" lights were on, like you describe - it turned out to be this connection.
Could be a problem with a wheel speed sensor, as well - bad sensor, bad connection, etc.
The ABS and ASR systems are not controlled by the PCM, so resetting the PCM probably won't do anything (but it's always worth a try). Every time you turn the ignition off, and then restart the vehicle, it should retry the ABS/ASR systems, and then only fault if the condition still exists.

Re: ASR light stays on
I rehooked up the wires to my amp and I pressed on the brake and my middle brake light wasn't working right, before it would go on if I let off the brake and turn off when i pushed the brake, and then i pushed on the pastic piece by the dome light if the hatch is popped then my brake light work right and my asr and abs lights stay off. I don't no what i did but it seems to be working.
