Re: ask about the vin number

Use the VIN number on the dash and RPO codes from inside the glove box and go to www.thirdgen.org look on the left side navigation buttons at VIN decoder and RPO decoder...most of these work for 4th gens also. Any Chevy/Pontiac dealer should be able to tell you also.

The VIN doesn't really tell you much.

Re: ask about the vin number

You can PM me your VIN number and I'll give you a few extra details, but probably not something you don't know already.

Re: ask about the vin number

Like I said in my earlier post, use the RPO #'s in the glove compartment, they are on a sticker and there should be quite a few 3-digit codes...like Z28 or Y82, etc...They hold everything from color, to gear ratios and everything in between.

Re: ask about the vin number

or, take your VIN number to your local Chevrolet service/parts counter and have them print out the vehicle content sheet from the VIN.

It's fast, it's free.
