I just got my front bumper repainted and i need to get a new emblem for my 95 Z28. For some reason i think i've heard 82-02 Camaro front bumper emblems are the same. Is that true? I guess is the physical size all the same? I've seen some of the ones on ebay that are original GM's but are different colors and say they are for thirdgens. Will they fit my 4th gen? I like the last one the most personally. I think it would go good with my black and chrome car, but will it fit?

 

pretty sure i've heard the curve of the attached surface is different.. atleast for third / 4th gens.

 

Well there's a big difference between the first and second ones you posted....not sure if that's what you meant.

 

They are not the same. The 82-92 are a hard plastic and the 93-02's are made of a flexible material. The 93-02's are also slightly bigger and the colors are not the same. Here is the correct part number for a front nose emblem for a 95 Camaro . 1019-3494 Hope this helps.

 

I was able to remove the old emblem and reattach it to my newly painted bumper without damagaing it.

 

Ok thats what i needed to know. I thought i had heard they were the same. I know the 4th gen ones are real flexible so i figured the contour of the nose didn't matter because they were so flexible. I've had my front bumper repainted once before and i just put on a new OEM one. I was just thinking maybe i could do something kind of cool and get one that might match the colors of my car better.
