Appearance package removal?

Hello. I just picked up a 99 z28. I am excited, it has been almost 4 years since my last ls1. Anyways, this z28 has the factory appearance package (front, side rear spoilers). I think I want to remove these spoilers and go for the less cluttered look. Has anybody done this. Will it be as easy as just unbolting each piece. And will there be any paint issues like scraches or faded paint? Thanks.

You will more than likely have to deal with the holes from the fasteners holding the pieces on . . . unless they are glued/taped on . . . but I'm sure I've seen screw heads in a couple spots on mine

You will have three half inch or so sized holes in each rear quarter. Your rockers, front and rear bumper will be full of holes from the pop rivets..

Re: Appearance package removal?

Thanks for the replies. This sounds like it might be a bigger project then I thought at first. If there are going to be numerous holes left behind I would need to take the car to a body shop to have the holes filled and the bottom of the car resprayed. Sounds like about $300-$500. Maybe I'll just try and like the car as it is.
