Anywhere cheaper for new lifters/driveshaft?

I've got cash in hand, but is Dal Slabaugh or Jason Cromer cheaper for GM lifters and a driveshaft than GMPartsdirect?

GMPartsdirect charges $45 for shipping the driveshaft, and $36 for shipping the lifters, making the driveshaft total $269 and the lifters $218.

Hurry with response, this money's burning a hole in my pocket!

LPE driveshaft

Combination Motorsports lifters

That should help Jason is probably cheaper, but the LPE driveshaft is a great buy. Dunno about the lifters...

Re: Anywhere cheaper for new lifters/driveshaft?

I searched Sallee Chevrolet and Pace Performance also. Their shipping wasn't inflated, but the total price difference was comparable so I stuck with GMpartsdirect for the lifters and went ahead and ordered a driveshaft from LPE.

My theory on used driveshafts is: even though someone says it's in good shape, you don't know how it was stored, so if it was outside in the weather the u-joints could be all rusted/corroded and by the time you replace the u-joints on a $150 driveshaft you might as well just buy a new one. And LPE's driveshaft is $267 shipped.

I would of gotten some Comp R lifters for that price. A way better quality piece.

I'm not revving the car to 7k, and my current stock lifters have served me to well over 200 passes down the track at 6,200 rpm. So I think the ones I ordered will do just fine, as I don't plan on revving any higher than 6,200 with the Hotcam either.

I bet your OEM's will be fine too. Its just i got my Comp R's from AI for $225 shipped to my door. So for $11 cheaper than your OEM's i got one 10x better.
