anyone know how to fix a baack up light??

anyone know how to fix a baack up light??

i have to go to get my car inspected and my back up lights dont work. i changed the bulbs. i think it might have to do with the wiring. i am not sure if i can post this here...but i wasent sure. can anyone help?? thank you,

let me guess you have a T56? Your not alone I would like to know too a fix too.

Theres a orange plug on the side of your tranny, check it..

If it involves a plug under the car on the side of the tranny you would think it would be a tech question??? I have been having this problem for years I took the bulbs out to save weight ;-)

Still guessing what you mean, but maybe you were responding to "razor", who guessed you have a T56????? When you want to respond to a specific person, either mention his name, or use a "quote".... makes things clearer.

If you have a T56, there is only one switch on the passenger side of the tranny, right in the middle.... you can't miss it.

Add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, engine, trans and any major mods. People want to help you, but its hard when you don't provide the basic info.

yeah, i am sorry. i am sorta new to this. i have an automatic. i went under the car and i couldent find it.

The picture above is of an M6 tranny. I don't think the backup light switch is mounted on the automatic tranny case. I suspect its on the shifter.

depending on the year, it will be on the shifter or the side of the trans, at the shifter lever
