Anyone have the GM VIS info for their cars?
I work at a GM dealership and was recently promoted(?!) to our service department. Great job so far except for the SIR module/coil diagnosis I had to do on a !@#$% Cavalier, of all things 
The idiot who owned the car before it was traded in SPLICED SOME STEREO EQUIPMENT INTO THE AIRBAG MODULE/COIL WIRE! Other GM techs will appreciate the risk of DEATH the owner introduced by doing this! Then there's the guy who put 90w gear oil in his T56 (Firebird)! We also had to replace a $12,000 Duramax(Isuzu) Diesel engine that a guy's daughter filled with gasoline 
We have a system called VIS that gives you a ton of info on your car, including original dealership, repairs, recalls, options, etc. I would like to offer this to anyone who would like to know this info for their GM vehicle. All I need is the last 8 of the VIN to check it. I'll do my best to accomodate those who would like this info. Obviously I must keep the requests at a reasonable level so as to fix exploding Cavaliers and burned-up Firebirds...
