Allignment Issues
So I walk into Big O tires to get my tires rotated and they tell me I need two new tires that were on the front of my car. They told me that my allignment was so far off that it wore my front tires down to the cords on the inside. I told them to role them out and they did and they were right. The tires were shot. The guy said he would suggest that I have my allignment checked every 3000 when I have my tires rotated. That seems like a bunch of bull to me. I have never heard of a vehicle needing allignment done every 3000 miles. He said, " Oh yeah, Camaros are terrible with allignment and you will probably need it done that often just because thats how camaros are. Is he full of it and have you guys had allignment problems before???
Re: Allignment Issues
Almost 7 years I have owned my car. It has always driven straight and true with no odd tire wear on the front. Even after replacing (carefully) the tie rod ends myself and having changed the springs and shocks 3 times, I have taken it to the alignment shop only once and they did not bother to do anything to it because it was near perfect to what I wanted. So, my car has not even been aligned since I have owned it.
Re: Allignment Issues
Well from what I have heard our front ends can get tossed out of alignment easier then others for some reason. Potholes like to do it. If your tires are all worn inside then your alignment is junk or you have a suspension part that needs replacing.
Re: Allignment Issues
Yes, worn bushings can screw up the front end alignment. The incorrect ride height will also screw it up. Worn ball joints and tie rod ends can screw it up.
