i used the search at the bottom of the forum but to no avail, nothing but airfoil in the sig showed up!

so ? is airfoil cost 60$ give or take, is it worth it? does it actually increase power? they say better throttle reponse and 11.8 hp! just wondering if it is worth the 60$?

I would just get one from ebay for half the price. As for 11hp I don't think so Maybe about 2-4hp, yes it will give a better throttle.

 

Total wast of $$ IMO...just wait till you need a 52mm TB since it will already be in there with it.

 

not worth it IMO. i saw quicker response in my old LT1, but no power gains.

 

I wouldn't buy it unless you are picking one up used. That's what i did.

 

Get used or just search for the cheapest one...they are all the same.

 

in GM high tech a little while back they added one to their project lt1 and it picked up 5.8 hp at the wheels. The brand they used was holley, which is alot bigger than the jet, tpis, or slp ones

yea u might find someone selling a used one for like 20$...hey i picked one up for that much...add a few HP

 

I posted this question in 3rd gen forum. Looks like I am going to pick one up, but I'm glad I read this. Never would've thought to look on eBay.
