Airbag code

I was in an accident, and it caused my airbags to deploy. I was wondering a few things about this, since the damage isn't too bad and I'm fixing it up.

1) Where is the front airbag sensor? I can't find it (97 V6 Camaro).
2) I have new airbags to put in, but before I do it I was wondering about the airbag code. I'm assuming that if I just install my new ones they'll pop right out since the code is still there. If I remove the airbag fuse and disconnect the battery, will that reset it, or do I need to clear the code out of the computer?
3) Can I reset the airbag sensor, or is it a one time use type of thing?

Thanks in advance.

The service manual says that any time the airbag is deployed, you must change the SDM.
