Aftermarket Gas Tank?!

Aftermarket Gas Tank?!
I got all everything ready to install the new back half of the fuel system, and while installing the fuel pump into the new Dorman tank, I discover that the studs that the fuel pump lock ring installs to is missing! I call the place I bought it from, and apparently that's how they're made. The base with the studs doesn't seem to be removable from the stock tank. How the hell am I supposed to do this? I'm not welding on studs to the tank myself.

$norkelface!
If you've decided against drilling and welding new studs thru then how about just drilling and JBwelding them? Looks cake as long as you can rinse it out, your filter will do its job for any nanoparticles. If your seal can handle being elevated a few mm's you could also consider cutting out the old base and fabbing it into a contoured plate and JBweld it onto the new base. If those studs have heads inside the tank protruding out then obviously not. If they DO have heads inside is even a ratchet possible inside the tank to back them out enough for the threads to slip past the old base to release the plate? Just thinkin' outloud. Feel free to ignore.
BTW, love the passion for the LT1 you have. Can't wait to see it in person.
