Advice for First-Timer

OK... I decided to buy a new motor instead of soldering the thermal cutout.

I have the door panel off. This is my first time doing a window motor repair.

Should I do the traditional regulator removal to replace the motor? I'm sure this method will require re-adjusting the guide channels?

Or should I use Shoebox's method? Less work, it seems, but I'm hesitant to drill holes in my door shell. And, I wouldn't be able to clean and lube all the rollers as thoroughly.

Wow, it took me awhile to figure out that you were talking about a power window motor, not a car motor. Yeah, I used shoebox's method. Going good for a year now.
