Question AC problems

Now that it is starting to get hot out around here its time to address my AC not working. I had it checked out last year and they recharged it but it only worked for a week. Unfortunately I got that for free and couldnt follow-up to see what was wrong. Anyways it works and blows cold for about 5 min and then it seems to pick up all the humidity in the air and pulls it into the car. Any ideas? I have a 95 v6 camaro. Thanks.

Re: AC problems

Check your lines to see if you have no vaccum leaks. Are you sure they recharged it all the way? Might want to re-check that.

Re: AC problems

Your best bet is to inject some dye into the system and look for leaks. Clean all around the fittings first, then put the dye in. You'll have to run the a/c for a few days and then look for the leak with a special light and glasses.

The hardest part to find the leak is the condenser ( in front of the rad) and the evaporator which is in where the heater core is.
