AC compressor options
95 z28 in awesome condition 110k miles
the shop says my ac compressor has bitten the dust, and the estimate is $990 total ($624 parts and $366 labor).
new compressor kit, ac flush, receiver dryer $550
expansion valve $74
should i buy a rebuilt or used compressor myself and have them install that? or just get more estimates? will trade schools or freelance mechanics install it for cheaper? trying to find an option that won't break the bank. thanks for any advice.
