98LS1 alternator regulator dead from water pump?
So, after getting my trans rebuilt (nice and smooth now) and a new clutch thrown in, I lose my water pump about 200 miles after riding around on the new setup. So I replace the water pump but my alternator seems to be putting out 18v now and I have an ABS INOP light which I think is due to the computer freaking out with the high voltage from a dead regulator.
This ever happen to anyone? I was hoping it would go away after everything dried off but it seems this would not be the case. Unfortunately the LS1 alternator seems to be in a bad spot when the water pump dies. On the plus side, changing out the water pump was so much faster than the LT1.
