98 Formula with a small voltage fluctuation issue.
I noticed a few weaks back that when driving at night I could see the Headlights flickering slightly. I looked at the volt guage and it is fluctuating back and forth rather quickly but within the normal range. I also noticed if I rev up the engine the voltage stabalizes and the flickering goes away for a short while, but will return.
I'm assuming it's a bad diode in the alternator (bad alternator), but thought it might be a good idea to post this up just to hear any suggestions before I go ahead with changing the alternator. Please let me know your idea's and suggestions. I appreciate it very much.
Thank you.

With the engine idling, check the voltage at the battery... Should be around 13.8~14.2 volts... And you might have a load test done on the battery too....
Also have you done a visual check for loose/damaged wires???
