Does anyone know if the black HVAC ***** from a 98+ Camaro will fit in a 97 Bird? I just like the look of the black ***** over the gray ones.

 

Also, does anyone know if that defrost button is removable? Or should I just get the whole HVAC pod?

 

No, the button's not removable, but you can take it all apart. If you remove it, you have to take out the entire circuit board, clear plastic behind it for the led, and button cover, plus make something to hold it all again. I'd just get another HVAC pod. You can most likely pick one up for around $20 at a junk yard. I have a custom radio bezel/HVAC plate and wanted to add the defrost button, but decided to just screw it and not have one cuz it was too much trouble.
