Re: 97 Z28 Gas In Oil

Stuck open injector or bad fuel pressure regulator leaking through the vacuum line.
Disconnect the vacuum line and prime the engine by turning the key on but do not start it. If you get no fuel there then it is probably an injector stuck open.

While checking the regulator vacuum line be aware that if the regulator is leaking you could theoretically cause gas to squirt out from the vacuum port or line, maybe cover it with a clean rag and then check the rag for gas. Take precautions not to get hit with it and not to ignite it hence NOT STARTING THE CAR.

Re: 97 Z28 Gas In Oil

regulator is on the back of the intake right where the fuel lines come and go.

The vacuum line runs from it to the passenger side of the intake manifold. There are two vacuum lines going into the intake on the passenger side, one is for the HVAC the other for the fuel pressure regulator.
