Hi Guys,

Recently purchased a red '96 SS. I have a couple questions that I'm sure someone out there will know the answer to!

First off what is the proper name for the U shaped panel that sits between the roof panel (or T-Tops) and the rear hatch glass?

Secondly I previously owned a '94 Z that was red but had black mirrors and the forementioned part was black. The SS I just bought has body color (red) mirrors and roof part. How hard is it to remove that roof piece?

Thirdly would anybody recommend painting the mirrors and roof piece? If I recall correctly the ones on my old Z which were black almost appears that they weren't painted, rather the black was just a natural finish. Would this be correct, or are they all painted?

Those panels are painted and its very easy to damage the roof panel when you remove it because its just glued on. I'd just get it painted on the car.
