passenger window will not go up, so i switch the motor with a known working motor. Still nothing, so my brother took apart the switch and played with the wires and we could get it to go down, but still no up. anyone have any ideas?

 

Read Shoebox's writeup on the window motor. At the bottom, it mentions a common mechanical (not electrical) problem with the switch, and advises lubricating the window channels.
