Ive been looking for a camaro for the past few months and ran across this car which is local. Anyways, the problems with the car are: has a miss at idle, trans shifts but I believe it only has about 30,000 miles left in it if babied. Passenger side window doesnt work, dont know if its motor or regulator. Dash is cracked. Center console broken. Seems like the steering wheel takes more effort to turn then my caddy. The fluid looks good though and no noise from the pump. U joints and fuel pump seemed to make a lot of noise while I was driving it(it was on the E).

The only reason Im still considering the car after seeing all these problems is the body is perfect. There isnt a dent or ding anywhere. The clearcoat is coming off a little on the pillar on top. But I think it can be fixed easily. Everything lines up nicely and it looks like the original paint. The car has 124,000 miles. The guy selling claims hes selling it for a female employee who got laid off from his workplace(he hasnt been honest about anything and has not pointed out any of the problems with the car). What do you guys think this car is worth?

The steering thing is normal as long as the steering is nice and tight; It is a bit stiff on mine too.

This is very rough guessing here but...
If it isn't modded and was perfect it would be worth about $4,000 but it isn't so I would see what the person is asking and subtract potential repairs you would have to make. The repairs you describe might run you between $2,000 - $3500 depending on parts needed and how much work you do yourself.

if it is having motor or trans problems I wouldn't touch it unless it was a really good deal.

 

If the engine is sound..I would say 1500 would be a fair price.

 

I agree if the motor is good $1500-$2000
