94 Z28 and 95 V6 FB Q's
94 Z28 and 95 V6 FB Q's
hey guys:
I have a chance to buy another F-body since her 90 3.1l FB is about dead.
the 94Z28 supposedly has under 40k miles t top
a ding in the right rear quater
photos of the carr looked clean
wants 6k
the 95 FB has 50k miles and wants 5500 for it non t-top (preferred)
it's a v6, photos of the car looked clean as well.
both are local to me, so i will visit to see them
the choice is the Z28, as it will allow us to use it to tow our jetskis with the trailer when we go to NJ and such. i dont think the v6 will have enough power to pull the trailer, my guess is about 1500#'s maybe upto 1700 with gear.
so, what are weaknesses to the LT1's?
do the optisparks go bad?
i know they are shoe horned in there, as compared to the 3rd gen engine compartment. so i guess working on them requires some more paitience.
how does the V8 model compare gas wise to the V6 model? they use that much more in gas?
her 90 FB was so~so.

Re: 94 Z28 and 95 V6 FB Q's
Update:
I have come across a few cars:
1: 89 TA TBi 5.0 70k wants $6500 for the car, super clean, but to me that is pricey
2: 94 Z28 40k minor ding otherwise supposedly nice wants 5800
3: 95 formula wants 5k had 80k on it
4: 95 V6 supposed to be super clean 60k wants 5500
Am i right to think the better deal is the 94Z?
what's good/bad about those models?
the optispark is an issue right, aside from a tight engine compartment
how are those models on gas mileage for typical day to day suburb type of driving?
i havent personally seen these cars just yet. just going by discriptions and photos that were sent.
some of these were on ebay too
any adive appreciated.

As for the v6... it will have enough power tow jetskis...
It has more power then any non 4.3L older blazer has and peopel tow alot with those.
Btw you might be able to haggle on the price of the v6 a little.
