For a couple of years my cruise control would work fine unless I tried to use the Accel/Decel feature in which case it would then shut off and I would have to reset the cruise control. I suspect the stalk switch might need to be replaced but it still worked fine without using that feature. About 2 months ago I got in the car and got on the freeway and tried to set the cruise control at highway speed and it would do nothing. I have checked every fuse, and I have no other issues with any other aspect of the car...no SES light, nothing. Ideas?

 

First see if the ABS INOP light comes on during the pre start diagnostic. If it doesn't, then check the 3rd brake light. Both are disabled when the 3rd brake light doesn't work.

 

Thats not it. Both work fine. Next idea?

 

I don't want to hijack your thread, but mine just started doing the exact same thing. The 3rd brake light still works. I was thinking the stalk as well. Anyone have any ideas?
