So, its been some time since I've visited the forum. I suppose life got in the way. Meanwhile, I've repurposed my Formula to street only duty. It was a fun bracket car back in the day and as a result, makes a great street ride. A fresh 385, T56 do over, NOS Vistion 4:11 R&P in the 9" rear makes a nice comfortable vibration free ride. So I'm working on the cosmetics a bit. My Checkered style taillights have the typical delamination situation going on. I had purchased Ben Franker's sticker kit with the plan to scuff, mask, paint or shade, then clear the lens. Unfortunately Ben's sticker set didn't seem to work well at all on my lights. The individual sticker geometry was so far off from the actual pattern of my particular lights that it made them unusable. Some were too big, some too small. So, I'm pretty sure I would have ended up with a disaster had I continued down that path.
So now to my question. Is there anybody out there doing quality restorations of these tail lights? I have searched, and e mailed some outfits but most are just places that buff out scratches.
