93 Formula Quarter panel

So I'm looking to buy a 93 Formula but it has driver side quarter panle damage...does anyone know of a write up showing how this is replaced or fixed? or do i need to have a shop do it? i called a local shop and they told me 1,500-2,000? does this sound right? any help would be great.

If only the panel is damaged you could buy the part and have a body shop paint it for a couple hundred at the most if you pull it and install the new one. For $2000 you just about could buy ones of those cars unless its low miles or mint condition.

They are welded in, hence the high cost of replacement.

I was thinking front fender. I looked for a replacement GM on Classic Industries and they want 600+ for there so it would be much more than i was thinking. The car books for 3000-4000 depending on condition so unless he wanted to drop the price in half it wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.
