I have a 92 B4c with a 350 TPI. It's been sitting for a couple years. I recently changed fuel pump(twice), fuel pump relay, MAP sensor, TPS( but I didn't adjust TPS), plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ECM, Eprom, and it failed emissions on HC, CO, and NOx. I live in Colorado and someone told me to advance the timing 1 degree for every 1000 feet above sea level, so I have it at 10.5 degrees. I think the catalytic converters are bad, but I don't know. It is running rich, I can smell the gas. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Chiltons manual but I'm just a do-it-yourselfer, with no mechanics degree. Please help.

 

Throwing any codes???? How about the O2 sensors????? If it is the original cat, then it miht need changing..

 

I replaced the O2, cats are fairly new. Chopped them and they looked ok. No codes, but it is running rich, you can smell the gas. Maybe purge canister is original. Also i'm not susre what to set the timing. Anyone have any ideas at altitude? She runs great, but won't pass.
